Dental tourism is a blend of medical services (repairing teeth) and enjoying in your vacation on the seaside. The idea came from a Norwegian Steinar Flatteng who founded this company in Croatia three years ago.
We were cooperating from the first day and planning how to start a new business in Croatia. Thinking about how to start a new business in Croatia he asked me if there was a specialist in Orthodontics in this area. I took him to a doctor's office. After seeing the prices, which are up to five times lower than in Norway, we came up with an idea for this type of tourism.
Dr. Zvonimir Istenić's office is equipped with top notch equipment and materials for making tooth crowns and prosthesis. Doctor Istenić has been in this business for 30 years now. He has been attending all the professional seminars in Europe where he has acquired new methods and has been learning about new materials for making tooth crowns and prosthesis.
Many patients form Norway have visited dr. Istenić's office. They went out of the office with a smile on their face, not only because of having solved problems with their teeth and being satisfied with their new look, but also because they were able to combine it with a vacation in Croatia for the price of what a dental services of the same type would cost in Norway.
For an example, putting a new tooth crown in Norway costs 700€ and in Croatia it costs only 170€. So one could save up to 530€ and by doing that could also cover the costs of a week-long-stay here at the peak of the season.
Our advice to guests who decide to go on this type of vacation, especially to does who have many problems with their teeth, would be to stay in Croatia for at least 15 days.

Advice:
If the intervention of the dentist is too complex (more than two teeth crowns, bleaching, lime scale...) we recommend a 15-day-long vacation in Croatia.
The appointments at the dentist's would be every second day (not many people like visiting a dentist's office on daily basis).
The free days can be used for active tourism activities such as rafting, canyoning..., or just lying on the town beach, enjoying in the sun, sipping bear in one of the nearby bars.
